Nad rzeka
No i doczekalam sie. W końcu tego lata nastała ciepła, rozgrzana gorącym dniem, letnia noc. W Anglii kończy się właśnie rok szkolny i zaczyna PROM. Święto muzyki klasycznej w Londyńskim Albert Hall, której słucha Anglia z połową świata za pośrednictwem BBC, i którą transmituje także Warszawa. Z słuchawkami na uszach odsłuchuję pierwszej połowy koncertu inaugurującego.
Odsłuchuję i sama nie wiem, dlaczego myślę o wodzie. O rzece. O Wiśle, której brzegiem, w 2021 roku, od źródła do ujścia, biegła Małgorzata Lebda, pokonując przez 28 dni 1113 km. Towarzyszył jej fotograf Rafał Siderski. Wówczas w Piśmie można było przeczytać relację z tego wydarzenia, a tekst Małgorzaty Lebdy wraz z przepięknymi zdjęciami Siderskiego zachwyciły mnie i zaciekawiły bytem, którym jest rzeka. Zaciekawiły także ludźmi, którzy podjęli trud odczytania rzeki i spróbowali zespoić się z nią w ogromnym wysiłku ciała. Dlatego ostatnio chętnie włączyłam relację z festiwalu Góry Literatury z ich udziałem i ku mojej wielkiej radości odkryłam, że właśnie wydali książkę-album z tej wyprawy - "Dopływy, drgania, powidoki i pieśni na brzegach". Jestem jej bardzo ciekawa.
W kontekście wody natychmiast też przychodzi mi na myśl obraz "Stream" japońskiego artysty Tokuoka Shinsen. Prostota tego dzieła sztuki sprzed ponad 70 lat jest dla mnie wyrazem geniuszu. Naprawdę chcę się usiąść przy tym obrazie i kontemplować.
Ja również podjęłam temat wody - w grafice "Nad Rzeką", która jest częścią serii "Spotkania ze Słuchania". W tym monoprincie rzeka jest miękka, jest żywiołowa i nieokiełznana. Jest zielenią, jest życiem. No to dzielę się.
Moonless Night
Finally, this summer brought a warm, hot summer night. In England, the school year is ending, and the PROM is beginning. The classical music festival at London's Albert Hall, listened to by England and half the world via the BBC, is also broadcast in Warsaw. With headphones on, I'm listening to the first half of the inaugural concert.
As I listen, I don't know why I think about water. About the river. About the Vistula, whose banks, in 2021, Małgorzata Lebda ran along from the source to the mouth, covering 1113 km in 28 days. She was accompanied by photographer Rafał Siderski. At that time, in magasin 'Pismo', one could read a report on this event, and Małgorzata Lebda's text, along with Siderski's beautiful photos, captivated me and sparked my curiosity about the entity that is the river. They also intrigued me about the people who undertook the challenge of understanding the river and tried to merge with it in a tremendous physical effort. That's why I recently eagerly tuned into the Góry Literatury festival broadcast with their participation, and to my great joy, I discovered that they have just published a book-album from this journey - "Dopływy, drgania, powidoki i pieśni na brzegach". I am very curious about it.
In the context of water, the image "Stream" by Japanese artist Tokuoka Shinsen immediately comes to my mind. The simplicity of this artwork from over 70 years ago is, to me, an expression of genius. I really want to sit by this painting and contemplate.
I also took up the theme of water in the graphic "By the River", which is part of the series "Meetings from Listening". In this monoprint, the river is soft, elemental, and untamed. It is green, it is life.
So, I'm sharing.
