Wspolczesnosc

Lubię żywe, intensywne kolory w tej monotypii. To kolory młodości, bardzo dynamiczne, gotowe do startu, odkrywcze. Jednak dzisiaj opowiem historię w nieco innym klimacie, bardziej melancholijnym. Wyobraźmy sobie, że grafika przedstawia złotą sopocką plażę, na której cumują rybackie kutry. Tuż obok kutrów znajduje się bar rybny, gdzie serwuje się świeże ryby. Maleńka przystań, czynna przez cały rok, gdzie świeże ryby i ciepła herbata z cytryną najlepiej smakowały zimą, po długim wieczornym spacerze po zaśnieżonej plaży. Dzisiaj ta mała, kameralna przystań jest modną, zatłoczoną jadłodajnią rybną, jednak za ladą wciąż stoi ten sam pan — starszy już, z niemożliwie intensywnie niebieskimi oczami, odbijającymi morze, w które ciągle jest zapatrzony. Blask tych oczu nie przygasł ani trochę, zachował całą swoją młodość i mądrość morza.

Modernity

I like the vivid, intense colors in this monotype. These are the colors of youth—very dynamic, ready to start, and exploratory. However, today I will tell a story in a slightly different, more melancholic mood. Imagine that the graphic depicts a golden Sopot beach, where fishing boats are moored. Right next to the boats, there is a fish bar that serves fresh fish. A small bar, open all year round, where fresh fish and hot tea with lemon tasted best in winter, after a long evening walk along the snowy beach. Today, that small, intimate bar has become a trendy, crowded fish restaurant, but the same man still stands behind the counter—older now, with impossibly intense blue eyes reflecting the sea, into which he is still gazing. The brightness of those eyes has not dimmed at all; they have retained all their youth and the wisdom of the sea.
