Ostatni dzień lutego obdarował nas w Hampshire słonecznym, rześkim i mroźnym porankiem. To moje ulubione warunki do spacerowania zima—gdy mróz zamienia rośliny w kruche lodowe rzeźby, między którymi przelatują stada wróbli. Lubię mróz. Tęsknię za malowanymi mrozem oknami.

Skoro to już ostatni dzień lutego, to dobra okazja, by podzielić się rysunkiem "Idzie mróz".

W książce o dalekiej Północy Ilona Wiśniewska opisała kiedyś mróz, który nadciągał na ląd znad arktycznego morza w formie mgły. I właśnie o tym jest ta monotypia.

Frost is coming 

The last day of February greeted us in Hampshire with a crisp, sunny, and frosty morning. These are my favorite conditions for a walk during the winter season—when the frost transforms plants into delicate ice sculptures, and flocks of sparrows flit between them. I love frost. I miss the windows painted with its intricate patterns.

Since it's the last day of February, it feels like the perfect time to share my drawing, "Frost is Coming."

In her book about the far North, Ilona Wiśniewska once described frost rolling in from the Arctic Sea like a creeping fog. And that is precisely what this monotype is about.
